I do hope we get to a point where we can all live in peace with no violence but im not giving up my gun just because some kids got their school shot up, it doesn't matter if you take all guns away murders at schools can still happen for instance when I was in the 4th grade 1 student tried to stab another student in the eye (if he had shoved it in deep enough it would have killed him) but the victim threw his hand up to block it he now has a scar from that pencil penetrating his hand you see even those wooden spears with graphite tips know as pencils can be a deadly wepon hell I could just take a chair and beat you to death prohibition won't solve anything it never has and never will it won't make your schools safer it will just force the killer to get more creative look to alcohol prohibition it didn't solve anything in fact it made things worse and an entirely new sport was born from shine runners NASCAR and the war on drugs has actually made crime worse (don't get me wrong I know how dangerus opioids and other hard core drugs are my own mother sucame to them).
