@CypyCup I don't need to, raw iron or is a finite resource like coal, uranium, and gold (which is formed in the core of dying neutron stars). There's likely a lot of it but not infinit amounts.

I agree that we need to do this project and investigate the birth of the universe, but not right away; there are so many more pressing matters that can't wait that 10 billion dollars could be put to good use on.

Why not just harvest the fungus, buy a bunch of caterpillars or moths (which ever they said it infects) and grow it in a farm for profit?

We need government subsidies to build factories that suck greenhouse gases out of the air and bottle it in gas canisters to be stored like we do nuclear materials. The only difference being we can recycle these gasses.

My question is what's going to happen to all the livestock animals like cows and pigs if we swap to an insect based diet, will there be reintroduced to the wild, or when they go extinct because no one uses them anymore, or will there be a small amount of cattle & pig ranches that keep the numbers low?

These people do realize that to the trained eye/ear someone can figure out their testing methods and just buy some of their honey and then make an identical copy

This is what happens when you don't have a population that has access to guns and enjoys using them, sure gun violence homicides and suicides would probably go up but at least you wouldn't be ruled by a dictator who in turn will kill many people who oppose him
