The only plausible resistance the cops could claim was him falling at the end in an attempt to stagger the arrest, but I don't see why they couldn't have just had all 3 cops pick him up and shove him in the back seat; if he tried anything like a head butt they could have just tased him once or twice at most to make him too tired to fight. In no case is what the cops actually did justifiable, it looks like after the conversation where the bald cop looks agitated they decided to arrest Floyd for I can only assume at worst insulting him; and after Floyd fell possibly more than once they decide to get on top of him.
