  2. they wouldn't last on their own, we could just put trade sanctions on them like we do iran and russia; we could then blockade them with warships so no trade vessels can pass. you can declare independence so long as you have the military to make it possible, that's how it's worked for all of history.

  3. Then let war come, the USA will defend Taiwan and bomb china back into poverty. We are not cowards, we will fight and I'm sure India, Australia, Japan, and South Korea would love to join the fight as well.
