If my chances for living another 20 years is only 20% and I'd rather just pull the plug then put my family through that debt, and another 5 years just isn't worth what I'll be paying.

@MrGroganmeister I live in America so yes I do know what I'm talking about, I'm not grateful if I have massive medical bills despite having insurance.

@MrGroganmeister why would I need to have a transplant to know whether I would want a transplant? that's like saying I need to buy a car to know whether I would want to buy a car. all I know is if my heart transplant is gonna put me into massive debt for only a few more years of life, then I don't want that. I'm fully aware of my own mortality and have made peace with it years ago.
