@mahmudhassan9021 They do have a right to defend themselves, yes, and they have always exercised that right. They have a large military, nuclear weapons by the EU border and are also part of the CTSO. We have never told Russia to give up her nukes, to demilitarize or to dismantle the CTSO alliance. That's their right as a sovereign entity. What they don't have a right to is to level Ukraine.

@mahmudhassan9021 1) I never asked any questions. 2) I am well read about these matters. And in any case, we are talking Russia and Ukraine in this clip. Whataboutisms don't cut it for me, sorry. 3) Under international law, what Russia is doing is not legal. Period. Russia is a signatory to many international treaties which effectively prevent her from doing what she is doing in Ukraine. A different conversation is whether Russia has decided to do so or not, and whether it has the capacities to do so.

@mahmudhassan9021 The diplomatic fault of the Ukrainian government for existing close to imperial Russia. Their fault for deciding to pursue their own foreign policy, which they are entitled to do under international law. Their fault for emancipating from Russian interference and deciding not to be their appendage anymore. Give me a break, mate. I am going to assume that you come from the Middle East or that have connections to the region based on your username - I apologize if that is not the case. You'd figure that after all the imperialistic meddling that the MENA region has had to deal with, you guys would spot neo-imperialistic tactics at play somewhere else quite easily, but I can see that that's not the case unfortunately. I guess that as long as the US is not the one doing the deed (maybe Britain, maybe France), all is cool.
