@D K Well, they joined the EU voluntarily, agreeing to respect basic treaties and regulations - something that they have not been doing for quite a while now. EU members must observe all basic rules, it is that simple - especially when no one forced them to join in the first place.

@D K This is not about said irregularities. This is about the extremely weak rule of law in Hungary, the many problems re. freedom of the press, Fidesz's undemocratic ways, etc.

@adrianczaplinski7774 Wut. Lol. Hungary joined the EU in 2004. Not the EEC. The EU. New and current EU members are required to meet the so called Copenhagen criteria (stable democracy, functioning market economy and the acceptance of all EU legislation among others), which were laid down in 1993. Please don't embarass yourself.

No, lol, the EU is upset at Hungary because they have become an autocracy. This has been going on for a long time now and it predates the current energy s***show situation.

@adrianczaplinski7774 They can leave the EU if they are not ready to abide by the basic regulations of the block. This is a club where membership is voluntary, no one is forcing Hungary to stay. The same goes for Poland.
