Russia was not under sanctions but russian tv spouts daily hate marathons for decades and russians hate the West now. Install free media and in a couple of years they might break the spell.

Secondly, let's assume you are correct for the sake of arguement, that means that you found one thing that russia said was true amidst thousands lies spread for decades. That's like a 0,0003% rate of truth. And you take that 0,0003% chance and equate it to at least 50% uncertainty. That is insane. That's like waiting forever at a roulette table for it to go zero three times in a row and then claim based on that spectacularly unlikely yet theoretically possible occurence that we have to give equal probability to it reccurring every time the roulette spuns 3 times.

As soon as Yanukovich ran away I hoped we`d have a chance at normal life, but putin immediately annexed Crimea and invaded. And don`t get me started on the previous hundreds of years.
