Unless you are detailing Lamborghini's or Bentley's, just wash your dang microfiber towels together in a separate load and be done with it. If you have some nasty ones, pre soak them, or repurpose them as shop towels. Air dry the towels separately and use your dryer's lower heating settings and don't use fabric softener sheets (as with any dryer cycle, clean the lint trap first). Store your towels separately in a bag or box to keep them free from dirt and dust.

His wife drives a Subaru...probably makes his own soap.

I thought the same thing, too. I liked his other video where he washed his wife's Subaru.

You should have saved time and not typed your comments, or read mine.

Urine is good and cleaning stuff. You should piss all over that car.

I just squirt glue all over the place. Spray paint also smells cool

I knew one named Dawn.

Stay away from the jargon. Just tell them that it has swirl marks up close in the sun, my budget is $200 to have it restored.

That's what I've always been told is the sensible procedure.

who would not get a red ferrari? I have a gray sedan, but ferrari's are supposed to be red :-)

I do think there are products out there called second skin or nano skin that may be what you are looking for.

I've heard of some folks using those pressurized pump containers (sorta like what folks will use with weed killer spray or with bug killer spray).

He's a hack, huh?
1
Sure, but you can do a fine job with about $20 worth of stuff (dollar store brushes, buckets, towels, etc.).

Not to me. I like doing it myself

walmart, home depot Heck, some grocery store bakery departments will give you free buckets

Sorta. They are the tools of his craft. Kinda sorta like knives are to a professional chef.

it takes a lot of time and energy to polish by hand. You can find DA polishers at harbor freight for about $60 (a number of online videos give them decent reviews).

2:00 detalers domain dot com He said that all clay bars are pretty much all alike. You can find them at auto parts stores everywhere and even Wal Mart.

Yes, designating certain towels for certain parts of the car is wise. I use shop towels or rags on my wheels after I've washed n scrubbed them with brushes. Works for me, but then again, I'm not detailing a Lamborghini (i probably would go with a brand new towel if I were detailing a Lamborghini).
1
Sure, and if I were detailing Lamborghini's, I probably would go with a brand new set of towels. I'd still want to wash those towels, though. It'd be a shame to just throw once used towels out considering they still have a lot of life left in them.

I did not pay a dime

Yes, there are machines that will help make the job less difficult. I think you might also want to try a different type of wax. I find that the more modern wax/sealants are not very difficult to apply and remove, and don't leave that white residue in every crack and crevice.
1
Yes, it takes a lot of time. There are all-in-one type products out there. What are your goals? Is it an everyday driving car? Sometimes a wash-n-wax is good enough (they even make spray as you dry waxes) .

Makes ozone

Yup. I think I would have gone with a kitchen cleaner.

They probably didn't like black people, too (lots of racists in that generation)

I'd get an electric one.

Yes, but only if you install a large rear spoiler and hang some stickers on it (KICKER or OAKLEY would work best).

Larry just asked me for a link to your videos demonstrating how he should detail a car.
1
I bought a cheap used one. It's small, but works decently well.
1
Yeah, but the car owner manual was written back when car was made (Nissan no longer makes the ATF that's written in manual)
1
How much would it cost for you to buy those things? Do the math, then do the work.
1
Hogwash. Buying used is an excellent idea.
