  2. Nothing that you stated will avoid being laid off. Maybe (that's a big MAYBE) it will reduce the risk of getting laid off. I've seen entire teams that where very performant getting laid off. Reason: middle management (who, we don't know who the fuck they are), decided that this team is "too expensive", so they all got fired, just like that.
