  1. Why can they continue to sell at high prices? Because people haz teh dumb, that's why. What is pretty much a machine-made watch that costs under $1000 to make sells for 10k when an arguably better quality watch from the likes of Omega or Longines is half to a third of that price. Rolex is up there with Red Bull in marketing hype, there are many similarities between the two companies with the major difference being Ro0lex were smart enough to pull the "foundation" trick and trust me, bugger all goes to charity.

  2. LOL, bullshit! When was the last time you tried to buy one? You can't even buy a basic sub unless you buy a DJ, Explorer or the like first and wait three years or buy from a grey market flipper at three times the price. Unless you are a known, established customer there is no way you can walk into a Rolex AD and walk out wearing a new watch.
