@ET Hardcorgamer Don't underestimate the possible rate of fire for these. With a two-man crew, 20rpm or more is viable and using HE you would only need one round on target. Those pirate attack crafts were not all that quick (maybe 25 to 30 knots) as they were usually heavy timber craft with a 50 to 70HP outboard. If you are making 20 knots and they are trying to intercept the relative speed was rarely more than 15 knots and that isn't all that hard a target to hit from a large and thus stable vessel such as a tanker or container ship.

Very effective actually, with AP rounds that would have penetrated a couple of models still in use at the start of WW2. 37mm is a highly effective calibre or at least it was.
