We're 6th out of 7 in G7 growth measured from 2019 to present In 2020 our GDP went down by 11% in 2021 up by 7% we've also got one off the highest inflation rates And Non of these figures are adjusted for inflation The reason the treasury are squeezing people with tax rises is the -4% drop So great economy not its actually spiralling into stagflation

We stopped fracking because of earthquake activity caused by the test drilling. Fracking involves pushing through below the water table then sideways into the shale rock then pumping a toxic mix of chemicals to split and recover the gas, the earthquakes can fracture the seam between the shale and the water table poisoning the water for the whole of the greater Manchester and Bradford Leeds area.

@fwcolb it's safe when it's no where near a large population the test site produced earthquakes the largest was 2.9if the toxic goop gers into the water table it poisons millions

Wind is over half the price of fossil per megawatt hour go look up Dogger bank wind farm I'd add that fracking would take over 10 years before you saw any benefit and given it caused earthquakes last time it's doomed before it starts
