@ChristineRead-ck1uq immigration hardly changed till 2008 go look it up there are charts at the House of Commons, post banking crash it started to rise before it began ballooning post 2010. If you want lower migration you invest in your domestic workforce which is what Labour did with thier big education push creating a well paid middle class workforce
