Take the digital standard GDPR lowering and dual standards will cost British Business 1.7 billion in application costs and would mean those that have business in the EU will set up offices in the EU and transfer their core business there also several US states have looked at the EU standard and are copying data integrity requirements.

  5. You are correct they've put off getting rid of the CE mark twice already, UKCA would mean dual certification at huge costs to business plus extra import/export paperwork. GDPR digital standard if we diverge its estimated it will cost UK business 1.7 billion and that's not factoring lost business due to a lack of equivalence. We are not a member of one of the 3 major trading blocks (China US EU) therefore we are a rule taker not a rule maker, every time we decide to go it alone it will have a huge knock on affect on additional costs and huge amounts of red tape to prove compliance.

Were short of approximately 1.2 million workers, we have a stagnant economy and the Cons are importing people by the back door from Nigeria Philippines and India, without serious immigration the economy will shrink because the Conservatives run Supply Side Economics which needs a steady stream of cheap labour. So when they stand on their soap box and tell you immigration is a problem ask them why they are giving out visa's to anyone outside the EU like confetti?
