No they didn't The current shtshw is because of Brexit It's like working with your neighbours to solve common problems has real world benefits People said it would get worse if we left the EU and it was dismissed as project fear

@clivestraw1913 till their claim has been rejected they are not illegal The right wing media have a full scale onslaught to get refugees dehumanised they never want you to have any compassion for then so the constant drum beat is never ending there conditioning you in the same way Pavlov trained his dogs. 85% have a valid claim for asylum The reason they come by boat is we've shut down all other legal means to claim asylum and made the problem worse if you want to keep them on the other side of the channel then open an asylum application centre over there

@jsemplefelton5348 Rebel from what everyone has seen the economic car crash that is Brexit They have an arsey right wing government if Poland withdrew from the single market its economy would collapse completely based on the models from what's happened in the UK the estimate is a loss of 15% gdp there a lot more connected to surrounding economies than we are. It's also predicted that by 2036 they will be better off per head of population than the UK as our economy declines and thiers surges

@walsingham-xxiii there's a fair old brain drain when the software company I used to work for relocated to Holland in 2019 a 1/4 of thee staff went over a few moved to the States and quite a few retired early like me. You can get a visa pretty easily for quite a few professions not that I'd need one Father was Polish settled in the UK after the war I got an EU passport last year.

@markohenry5891 no they haven't Type "ft uk business investment" into Google then click images, business investment has fallen off a cliff The reason is the bulk of our manufacturing small and large has a supply chain going through the EU and a market dominated by sales to the EU or it did have, nearly all our farm and fishery exports where to the EU our fertilisers and chemical components. We have an acute shortage of skilled and unskilled labour with now Stupid Brexit trade barriers the economy outside the City will keep declining there's an FT film on their YouTube channel. Why do you think the Traders told Kwerteng To go swivel over borrowing we have no growth no potential for growth and will be entering a contraction cycle for the foreseeable future.

@firsteerr which is why the Company was relocating staff before Stupid Brexit came in And it really is Stupid because the things you were promised where never going to happen in fact it was always going to be the reverse. Keep out Johhny foreigner 1 we left the Dublin Accord and multiple other EU bodies and as a 3rd country are on our own over refugees 2 removing EU workers has knackered our economy that much Truss was talking open visas from India as part of her growth plan Sunny uplands and leveling up Brexit was always going to shrink the UK economy a by a large chunk the Brexiteers didn't want to talk about the estimate is 4/5% gdp or 40 billion less in tax revenue or 120 billion in lost economic activity and the economic pain is ongoing
