This comment just shows the crass level of stupidity in the English Voter. Central government (The Tories) have cut local budgets by 40% and sold off most of the council housing stock asset stripping councils at the same time. Councils then have to make draconian cuts to services and IF your a Labour Council in an URBAN area you have High levels of poverty requiring BY LAW you have to provide various services one of them is HOUSING. Instead of using your housing stock and get rent you now have to use an ever increasing amount of your Budget to rent from the Private sector. THAT'S WHY THINGS ARE GETTING WORSE IN URBAN AREAS GREEDY TORIES SCREWING THE SYSTEM FOR ALL THEY CAN @andyroberts8754

We don't need rich people there a burden not contributors. They get massive tax breaks and filter the money off shore which does NOTHING for the economy. They buy Mayfair apartments again which pushes money into assets where its sits doing NOTHING for the economy For money to be of use to the UK government it needs to go round in a Tax and Spend circle generating GDP in the process. If its not doing that it might as well not exist due to it being a sunk cost so kick them out as far as I'm concerned @andyroberts8754

@andyroberts8754 you don't need rich people there an economic drain The money they get in tax cuts gets off shored or put into assets removing it from the everyday economy It's the everyday economy that creats gdp which in turn creates taxation the government could use to spend on services

The UK has the lowest tax Base in Europe how it collects those taxes and who is paying is another matter entirely. And Capitalism doesn't grow the economy people do. In the States the reason the economy is starting to Boom is the 2 Trillion investment in infrastructure Biden has made over 10 Years the biggest state injection since the Great Depression and a welcome return to Keynesian economics. Both US and the UK Cut corporate tax and it went straight to share BuyBacks and did squat for both economies bar load 3.5 trillion onto the US and 140 billion onto the UK and did squat to economic growth. @flabbybum9562 our productivity has plummeted as well, your sort of right about loosing experience having a role but the biggest factor is outsourcing and agency/supply workers. If as a business or in public services don't have clear goals but end up getting run off a spreadsheet by someone who knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing then we end up here, it's trying to run an economy as a hedge fund, asset stripping, outsourcing and not looking at true value. I'll give you an example before retirement I worked in IT I could get test servers setup in minutes, the support was outsourced to supposedly save money so I had to raise a ticket wait a couple of days for a response then have a long conversation with the support person instructing them in detail how to set the environment up. So 5 to 10 minutes went into 6 to 7 hours of lost time and my time cost the company an arm and a leg
