It's underfunded The UK spends < 8% of its gdp on healthcare The equivalent Canadian system spends 10.5% of its gdp on healthcare The US has a private system with huge price gouging 10s of millions uninsured high instances of medical bankruptcy and they spend 17+% of GDP So stick your fact free racist xenophobic opinion in the trashcan

The last thing you need is businessmen sticking their nose in running a service It's underfunded The UK spends < 8% of its gdp on healthcare The equivalent Canadian system spends 10.5% of its gdp on healthcare The US has a private system with huge price gouging 10s of millions uninsured high instances of medical bankruptcy and they spend 17+% of GDP Your business run hectare costs double and isn't fit for purpose

@wavell14 on the American model it would cost twice as much and provide emergency cover to millions of poor only Have you ever studied how bad private healthcare is as a service at providing value, they have zero interest in anything other than turning a profit, there is little incentive in the private sector for preventative treatments when you can price gouge at the sharp end.

@bongsound why do you people never look at the overall picture, funding as a % of GDP has been falling Under the Cons more of the NHS money has been spun out to private entities instead of being run in house at a fraction of the cost, if you want to spin a narrative of a failing system you deliberately try make it fail despite that the NHS provides outstanding value for money. Norway 10% gdp on healthcare Canada 10% gdp on healthcare UK <8% all public services US 17+% gdp on healthcare Germany 12.5% gdp on healthcare private So whatever junk the right wing media have put in your brain it's purpose is to bolster companies who see easy pickings feasting over privatising UK healthcare and making an absolute killing as they screw every last £ out of the people.

@bongsound The spending claim is total BS and the Cons have been in power for well over a decade. They spaffed 50+ billion on a track and trace system that barley functioned and PPE contracts that were over the top and not fit for purpose. Whatever the shortcomings of the NHS are they could have done at least as poor a job as Dido Harding on half if not a third of that total. That 30 billion saving is the equivalent of Doris's 1.25% NI increase

@fatwhitebloke9851 pass the sick bag why do you even bother posting when you believe the complete garbage is little fascist Farage spews. The junk your honking up is designed to get yer to vote against your own interests brainwashing you into blaming everything on foreigners.

@wavell14 your living in lala land, private healthcare cost the nation more and costs the people more it leads to price gouging lack of preventative services and escalating A and E costs because the poor can't afford insurance. Germany spends as a nation over 50% more for thier healthcare than we do with 12.5% gdp If you compare to Canada a well funded public service Germany are effectively wasting 2% of thier gdp on insurance and it's mechanisms. At less than 8% of GDP the NHS is the mother of all bargains Have you even looked at premiums or costs, how would the low paid even afford 1200 a month to cover a family?

@MsJackcool69 so you want to reuse drips how unhygienic is that? Just be grateful you got one at all and didn't have to pay a charge for every bag they connected. Why do you think it would be any different if it's private, the only consequences would be you wouldn't go into hospital in the first place because you couldn't afford the insurance premiums

@paulwainwright967 letting business people any where near it is the last thing it needs and don't regurgitate crap from the daily papers they don't have a fkin clue what there talking about and Blair has been out of power over a decade any problems are the Cons fault.

@edmundblackaddercoc8522 and you know how? Because it's regurgitated in the Daily hate Mail or the Bun If you want to know how efficient it is compare it's throughput with cost verses other countries systems or just don't spout tabloid crap

@wavell14 I saw my gp and my mother saw hers the other week, we have overflowing waiting lists because there isn't enough capacity to cater for the number of covid patients and all the elective surgery. Germany has less people with Covid therfore more capacity to run as normal the NHS has been underfunded and run on a shoestring for the last decade under the Cons who have quite frankly no fkin idea how to run anything. Private healthcare cost a fortune in personal and family premiums the Cons would like nothing more than to sell it off and leave the workers to carry the can for thier persistent failure
