Drilling and production are not guaranteed it may well have to be re-shelved on safety or other grounds and its 5-7 years before it will enter the market plus it all gets traded on the world commodity market us any. You can add more turbines to ems in under a year and have a new offshore development in 2/3 plus we need to invest in tidal

We don't own the energy that's mined in our jurisdiction and will see no benefit to the customer it all gets traded on the world commodity market all the government do is sell leases. The so called green tax are just purchase taxes geared to incentivise the use of non fossil energy and the current cost per gigawatt hour on the market is £200 the contract price for Dogger Bank wind farm is £40 per gigawatt hour so if we had more wind and less gas the electric cost could be at least halved.

There are no EU rules in the UK were not in the EU anymore all rules in place are UK rules voted by the UK parliament. Businesses still have to produce goods to EU standards if they wan to export to the EU and there not going to run 2 production lines just go get drunk or something Nige and spare us your crap

@nottyash100 the drilling points are on the Moor near Manchester they were stopped when they caused a 2.9 earthquake, if you rupture the ground between the shale and the water table you'll poison the water supply for Greater Manchester. Aside from that it's price is still controlled by world commodity prices. There is zero benefit to the consumers wind energy is cheap and available now not years down the line
