  1. The majority in NI and an overwhelming number of businesses want it's full implementation. In fact businesses have already re-routed their supply chains from using GB as a land bridge the posturing here is to do with the success NI is having adjusting to being within the single market. This is cynical polotics 101 Johnson can't afford to have a thriving UK regional NI economy while GB's goes down the toilet.

  2.  @23poiuz  They have NI elections next year the current polls would change the power dynamic in Stormont in favour of Sinn Fein with the 2 hard line unionist parties loosing ground. The assembly has already voted on accepting the protocol as a baseline.The further down the road they get the harder it is to blow up. Meanwhile Ireland has invested 20 million in upgrading Rosslare and also money is earmarked for road improvements.
