Go look up the renewable policy labour laws policy and Reeve's speeches on the Everyday economy If they get into power they will be inheriting an economy that is totally fked my brother is back over from Norway at the moment and he can't believe the increase in prices since a few years ago there now on a par for food costs that's a 50% jump in 2 years

@kaya051285 we don't have the workers to do it or the joined up thinking to have an integrated transport policy but at least Labour are discussing the issue Andy Burnham podcast on Rock and Roll politics Sadiq Khan has been on about this as well

You can mitigate the drag with regulatory realignment without commitment to rejoin we are where we are Corbyn's problem was trying to rewind Thatcherism getting stuck down the rabbit hole of rewinding Brexit is fruitless TCA is up for renegotiation in 2024

I think people like Reeve Nandy and Milliband will do an excellent job they come over as knowledgeable and dedicated

He's not a centerist if you look at some of the policies in detail Reeve is definitely not and will reshape economic policy, there is a huge amount you can do to rebalance taxation GBEnergy and the renewable transformation are not centerist and before you slag it off the US is plowing 1.75 trillion into renewable the EU 600 billion there is no choice for a non right wing government From now to the election they will be constantly hammered on how will you pay for it something never leveled at tax cuts

He's a manager of a team by all accounts a very good one that delegates and takes responsibility he does come over as dull which isn't a bad thing Look at what Milliband Reeve and Nandy are talking about the issue is also non commitment on spending not surprising how fked the economy is they will have to deliver or he'll be a 1 term pm

Go look up the policy on renewable energy and Reeve's speeches on the everyday economy The problem is the economy is fked we've had 13 years of Austerity and 7 years of brexit and boosterism back in 2016 overseas investment stopped dead its impossible to paper over the cracks

He's nationalising energy production just over 20 years and that doesn't involve spending 1/2 a trillion on buying old coal stations or seizing foreign assets like the nuclear plants. With Brexit the push will be to realignment with negotiations on the TCA in 2024 your looking at something close to May Bots deal Immigration is more complex from 2010 to 2019 we had an explosion of Eastern European workers filling low paid zero hour jobs in the unregulated gig economy at the same time as a contraction in services the workers and the companies that employed them appear to have contributed zero to the economy but where a net drain We have low pay and unsustainable childcare provision with no plan to enable women to return to work or families to afford housing
