Sunak is about as good as the Tories have got at the moment and Starmer isn't seen as a radical Leftie 60/70% of the electorate are from center left to centre right People don't want hard left or hard right

What's the point in Pro EU voters leaving Labour there the ones talking realignment to smooth trade and travel and the Pro EU crowd are also the Pro Green crowd in most cases with Labour alone offering a clear renewable policy that doesn't involve bunging the private sector billions. Most of the soft Tory support round my area would flip Labour just on Green policy and cleaning up the rivers and sea + sort out NHS and Schools The Tory vote is going to collapse in areas you'd have never have thought of for all sorts of reasons

@archvaldor I'm 66 and I'm well aware of the political spectrum from Major's soft Right to Thatchers Neoliberalism and Blaire's Centrism to Johnson's Right wing Populism Truss's far right Libertarian free market disaster capitalism and Corbyn's nostalgia socialist trip back to the 70's Sunak is full on Thatcherism he'll get by because the markets don't care how he balances the books you can't see him being able to win an election though there are too many crazies in the party and most people aren't a fan of Supply Side Trickle down which has been killing the economy since Cameron took over.

@SuperSupermanX1999 Sunak isn't centre right Thatcher called them the wets, Johnson booted most out the party and filled the spots with ukip dregs. The Tories are really fked the English Nationalist lot like Gullis are mental no amount of cruelty is too much on the Libertarian front there all barking for tax cuts as debt to gdp soars to > 100% By the way Thatcherism needs a constant supply of Supply Side Cheap labour to even stand still and they've cut themselves off from the nearest source according to the ONS we lost 500,000 workers from the UK economy due to outward migration in 2022 numbers in employment are still below 2019 levels over 1 million vacancies. Sunak isn't going to change his stripes on Supply Side Economics and like you say he's having to pander to the various power blocks in the party with nutter legislation

Sunak is he's stopped the economic hemorrhaging, you may not like Supply Side Trickle down economics with tax cuts for millionaire pensioners and fiscal drag and fk all else for everyone else but the City Gilt and bond markets don't care who Sunak screws as long as the books balance.
