The Green agenda Labour bill developed in conjunction with the Unions Childcare policy A move from Supply Side Economics to Keynesian Demand Side Economics

@mickywalters7439 I listened to an interview with the Neil Kinnock a while back he was reflecting on his battle with Militant the 2 situations are just completely different in that the Economy wasn't too bad back in that election it is a veritable skip fire now. The real parallel is a party within a party Momentum in Labour and these activists taking over local areas, membership is always more activist but if you push it too far your abandoning the voting public as the Tories are now there in all sorts of trouble with the UKIP block and the Libertarian wing. Sunak is a Thatcherite but he's having to throw red meat to the base with Rwanda. Opinion polls aside the Guardian does some good work on Focus groups on their podcasts well worth a listen

It's all there is because we can't go back aside from Tories salting the earth even rejoining the single market won't happen if we about turned and all asked for the EU's forgiveness even in 3 to 4 parliaments off. You can't rejoin unless both Major parties sign onto it

The economy back then was not the skip fire it is now and as far as I'm aware there are multiple policies that will form the election push the Tories have already tried stealing the child policy though how much of the Nurseries will be left after another 1 1/2 years of crushing energy costs and sliding living standards is moot. Talking to some friends of mine who vote Con most will vote Lib-Dem next election or not at all (were in a no win seat for Labour heavily Tory) there's some talk of Reform UK as the rabid xenophobe's latest squeeze but we shall see

@adriftinaboat3452 There is a key difference between the Tories and Labour so calling any Labour leader Tory mark 2 is just being ignorant. The Conservatives run Supply Side Trickle down economics as was ably seen by the Fiscal Drag Bankers tax break and Millionaire Pensioners tax break in the last Budget Labour run Keynesian Demand Side economic model which emphasises investment in social and physical infrastructure to increase demand at the lower middle level by boosting incomes. The 2 produce completely different economies even if they have the same tax basis
