@michaelchristensen5965 Calafornia has the 5th largest economy in the world It's mean average tax take is 8% same as Texas its just Texas collects thiers via property/purchase/sales taxes which is regressive while Calafornia has progressive income tax Calafornia also spends near double on healthcare

@highcountrydelatite as maybe but they have better healthcare and fewer homicides per 100k than Texas And as someone on low income and old the last thing I want is a plethora of stealth taxes and sky high medical, currently the Democrats are trying to get drug prices down the Republicans are fighting tooth and nail to keep the current insane price gauging levels for thier big pharmaceutical donors. Tax cuts and breaks for the wealthy are corporate socialism Yet try do it for people at the bottom like the child tax credit and all of a sudden the commies are taking over Make your mind up coz Socialism for the rich capitalism for the poor sounds a raw deal to me
