@robinlware if your a high earner you benifit from low income tax, sales taxes hammer middle and working class

It doesn't work like that if you want more US production you invest like the CHIPS act and the Inflation Reduction act
3
If you want production back you do it with invest as Joe has done which has reshored over a million manufacturing jobs. Tariffs on some stuff is necessary for a level playing field but Trump is effectively putting in a sales tax
3
So nothing to do with the 4 trillion in unfunded tax cuts then? That rapid expansion of the money supply combined with Cov spending is why inflation was so high. This time if he tries it it will be worse as debt to gdp ratio has skyrocketed and there isn't the capacity to borrow which will lead to higher interest rates
2
@Youmissedme-i5z Biden's infrastructure policies are reshoring manufacturing for the 1st time since pre Reagan with over 1 million.

Sales taxes are regressive in Texas the median is 8% with people in the bottom 20% of earners paying 13% It will impact negatively on gdp cause inflation leading to stagflation which is hard to get out of
2
Tariffs are nothing more than a sales tax This will impact negatively GDP and also trigger inflation Also Canning the move to renewable energy will destroy 2 million jobs and add an additional 32 billion to consumers energy bills
2
Unless your very wealthy you won't we have real world examples of sales taxes to work from Ex Texas Bottom 20% by income pay 13% top 5% pay 3.6% and the median is 8% and you need to be in the upper quartile to benifit

@djtherock7062 It was fuelled on a debt bubble that was already bursting in late 2019 as inflation started to rise. Driving the Debt up so high during the good times meant that the fall post Cov was way harder. You never heard of fixing the roof when the sun is shinning? Unlike Trump's companies it's hard for a country to go bankrupt though he did give it a go leaving a complete economic skip fire when he left office.

@noway1844 His plans would also increase energy costs by 32 billion and loose 1.7 million jobs but hey just spreading the news. New report analysing them trying to turn the clock back on renewable energy.

Tariffs are a sales tax, you need to be wealthy to gain any benifit from moving from income tax

@gloonnug4797 I'm a retired IT guy who has spent his life with DATA. I check all my sources and tend to use specialists for corroboration. If you want to know what's happening and why with the economy then go to the likes of the FT and Bloomberg don't spout propaganda from Fox. As for Hunter no one cares but the MAGAverse, It's a nothing story.

They have a system of sales taxes to pay for stuff which keep people poor.

Real Estate taxes aren't federal
