  1. The US doesn't make all its own stuff, no country does. Tariffs are used to level the playing field this is just a sales tax. What's worse is retaliatory tariffs, 92% of the money gained from Chinese tariffs during DJT'S last term went on subsidies to farmers who had thier market wiped out permanently.
