The likeliest candidate so far is the Oxford vaccine, the UK and Astra Zenica have put 30,000 blind test with a 1/3 receiving a placebo on phase 3 trial in the US starting beginning of September and this by all accounts is the one Trump is going to try and push through on emergency usage, the problem is 2 months isn't long enough and its only going to healthy people 1st. There's a lot of discussion on obesity in the UK not only are obese sufferers of covid more likely to die or if they don't have severe medical problems but the whispers from initial studies that the vaccine is less effective if your fat. Simply put its not going to be a magic bullet, there hoping for 50% effectiveness and the UK government has gone on a health campaign to get people to loose weight and I suspect they've been told which groups a possible vaccine doesn't work on.
