The market wants EV's and people buying at this price point are not going to want an ICE vehicle if there's a EV alternative, the Ford marketing has already stuck the knife into gas sales coupled with pump prices the flexibility of using the power outlets and the promise of V2G the reaction will be to either go to another manufacturer or keep your money in your pocket till an alternative becomes available

  2.  @MarkWilliams-ix1qf  if your urban/Suburban you don't need a gas car/lorry/bus etc change will happen quickly as Cities expand and create emissions free zones such as London and Paris The final mile delivery will be all electric in 5 years, people with second cars will quickly gravitate to at least 1 electric the only reason to have an ice car is long distance, everyone where I live is middle class with multiple cars per family the bulk of which would struggle to do more than 40 miles per day. The bulk of cars are round where I live are on contract or finance Yea sure I live in a well off district but it will happen quickly, everyone since the pandemic is talking electric and climate these people generate the second hand cars 3 years from now

ICE sales will fall off a cliff a large % of people will hang on to thier old vehicle it's not going to be a transition in the 5-10 year sense, either they build new automated plant and get production ramped up or they will go bankrupt There is no brand loyalty if your switching to EV look at Rivian a startup it's producing final mile delivery trucks for Amazon as well as a pickup

  4. The market wants the trucks NOW not 3 years down the line, the speed of change has to accelerate or Ford will die. Rivian have a truck and they have a final mile delivery van deal with Amazon, it's basically a race at this point JUST LOOK AT THE PRICE OF GAS
