  1. That's incorrect but it does blunt the attractions of a tech that is still evolving the question is will it force it to evolve quicker? There is plenty of room in the market for multiple solutions they have to be scalable and affordable though

Elon recently admitted on SNL that he has Aspergers (higher functioning autism) if he regards the current Tesla battery tech as a breakthrough then it will be for multiple reasons Tesla is where it is today because it's not stuck in a short term loop, you have to say Elon has been exceptionally lucky to get long term backing for his ideas

  3.  @mikafiltenborg2291  I'd heard 2022 for initial production runs but scale wise it would take a number of years to refine and build meanwhile in Europe the urban suburban market should be 60% electric in that time. There's the huge problem of long haul though the current tech isn't really suited too
