Rwanda is a dead duck and the economy is in the toilet

why are they using private messaging for public business? All public business however conducted is covered by the freedom of information act and if your using the same whatsapp channel for private use tuff
26
@timmayers4965 you make people ill by creating a low wage economy then enact policies which drive up the cost of rent and other staple items. Your population becomes sicker over time through money stress and lack of nutritional food, Austerities long tail as diabetes level rise alarmingly now topping 5 million. Quote Children in the poorest areas of England are both fatter and significantly shorter than those in the richest areas at age 10 to 11
19
doesn't take into account tactical voting or the fact the Cons have a quite appalling economic record over 14 years where we are worse off that we were 14 years ago and services are down the Toilet Privatisation has been a complete failure as has selling off council houses because they have not been replaced and councils are spending 20 billion on housing support. We want the opposition to be the Lib-Dems and the Tories destroyed for what they have done
18
Question if you pump 800 billion into an economy because of Cov where does it go? If your going to fix anything you need to answer that question and start removing some of that printed money from circulation via taxation. Instead Taxes are rising on the low paid and pensioners via fiscal drag, food inflation is still 7% with more and more people falling into food and energy poverty
16
@colinrobinson4233 your the one that needs a reality check
16
Tax cuts don't reduce immigration neither does fracking or deregulation
13
NOTHING you can do can save your beloved Tories JHB there gone kaput toast
13
62,000 refugees will be given the right to stay 1.25 million legal migrant workers brought in with 1/2 dependants I mean it was way better when we were in the EU at around 200,000 net because there weren't loads of dependants refugees aren't the problem the government and their policies are
13
why do it at all it was a clean up interview to lie about lying
12
What a waste of 1/2 a billion pounds
12
The way you cure our economic problems is Analyze where the 800 billion went spent during Cov Start taxing it out of the system Hint It isnt in the pockets of the low paid
12
He cares a lot more about you than Sunak did
11
I've felt that way since Thatcher
10
@snowyowel7961 convicted of rape, convicted of embezzlement and now of cheating 3 - 0 I'd say
10
Farage isnt standing as a candidate what utter nonsense
10
@robertjames4908 Immigration is the result of government policy andnot the fault of introducing FOM The biggest driver in recent years has been the lack of regulation on zero hour and the GIG economy, relentless outsourcing and a 14 year pay squeeze on public service workers. If you reintroduced FOM tomorrow legal migration would drop back down to +200k net
10
@tetraquark2402 blame outsourcing - water anyone
10
there's no such thing we left the EU ages ago pointing out the consequences of that action is just highlighting the truth
9
Your only going to pay tax on pensions because Sunak Froze the 20% threshold till 2028 So far that has cost me a pensioner £560 this tax year Under the last labour government vat went down which greatly helps people on low income
9
1st off the wind blows somewhere in the UK there's is never a dead calm because of the topography and the fact we are at the confluence of major weather systems, 2nd modern turbines turn at speeds as low as 8mph and 3rd when you add mass storage to any grid wholesale prices drop dramatically.
8
You got 20%+ increase in average wages under Blair / Brown with well funded services During the last 14 years we've had negative real wage growth
8
How irrational last time anything worked round here was when Labour was in charge now we have pot holes within potholes, highest tax burden and WTF are they spending it on it sure aint the country
8
Another brex1t benefit along with 3/4 million dependants legally the hits just keep coming
8
were in a Rhisi-session British gas posted 950% increase in profits and HE DID NOTHING
8
GDP per capita has fallen 7 quarters straight the overall GDP figure is propped up by 1.25 million visas Osborne depressed working class salaries turing us into a low wage economy Sunak is finishing off Osborne's work by doing the same to the middle and professional class
7
Tax Dyson who was using it as an IHT loophole like a lot of rich people, only 54% are family owned and the limit for them is 3 million
7
PollingPeople poll just out Cons -2 to 18% Labour +1 to 46% with a bit of tactical voting Lib-Dems to become the new opposition
7
What's wrong with human rights? ECHR is the last tefuge against government overreach
7
If it's so well paid why are they having to employ thousands of agency staff to cover the work, outsource billions in consultancy and fly plane loads of migrants from the 3rd world to fill public sector jobs?
7
If Reform get in then Argentina on the Channel here we come, economy is bad enough without 100+ billion in unfunded tax cuts
6
@colinrobinson4233 your listening to sh1t on stations like this who are completely out of whack with political reality
6
Were going to get a proper economist in charge in Reeve with a degree from the LSE not someone who is the puppet of the IEA and Policy Exchange in Hunt and Sunak
6
HS2/3 abandoned
6
There a millionaire/billionaire pressure group not a party
6
It's centre left something we've not had since Wilson Just to point out the reason the country is in the sh1t is the Tories have defunded the social floor so the capitalist ladder isn't working
6
@jeffappleton926 The point of removing your rights under the echr and deregulation is to lower wages and costs as far as possible and has nothing to do with migration
6
Tories lost another 2 points in the polls last week and Labour gained +3 Cons 23% Labour 47% So he was listening to the British people just not the sort that hold your opinion and with tactical voting that could lead the Tories to only have around 50 seats at the next election
6
why would I sacrifice MY human rights so you can rant at boat people and waste 600 million on a gimmick?
6
The party of elite's batting for the billionaires?
6
It costs the state 6k per privately educated pupil and that's just the top line it doesn't include tax avoided by gift aid, Sunak has gifted Winchester more than 100,000 of which they can claim 20k fom the government. Plus the ones near me are full of foreign students it's a business
5
and Sunak would have put up the pension age to 68 to pay for further NI cuts
5
no were not 3 million is plenty it's being used as a loophole by the wealthy which is pricing out farmers
5
You'll get less legal migration under Labour because they will invest more in UKPLC and less illegal migration because they will invest in addressing key areas that are causing the problems such as processing Did you know that under the Tories we are housing 60,000 who if processed would have been deported already?
5
Your wrong but you've at least identified some of the other contributing factors. Brexit has had a huge affect but its always a multiplier its not the direct cause, food goes up the Brexit affect multiplies the pain the current bill re food calculated by economists is +6%
5
Sounds OK to me
5
No he didn't he has form as a Putin apologist. What's the difference between Putin, the Oligarchs & the Russian Mafia, nothing there one and the same.
5
Tories did a scorched earth policy on the way out Unless you have a trust fund the budget statement will be pretty meaningless, likeliest rise is CGT
5
@derekcable I'm on Octopus Flux my old rate was 24p per kwh my current rate is 13p per kwh which I use if I need to time shift consumption or top up my batteries
5
Given how right wing they've gone they don't appear to want to conserve anything.
