@alridd7038 we're here with government borrowing last year of 130 billion because of Truss, Brexit and an unfounded NI cut. Our repayments on debt were 120 billion. There is no more boosterism to go round. What's your solution?

If you cut public sector pay you increase the cost of hiring staff due to churn and vastly increase migration for low paid public sector jobs. Boris isn't here anymore there is no one to gaslight you and tell you you can have your cake and eat it

The question is why? In 2010 they should have increased tax and borrowing instead of shrinking the economy by 2% In 2016 we should have voted remain instead of shrinking our economy by 5% And never have elected Truss So here we are.

We've had 14 years of Tories running up debt a stagnating economy hammered by Brex1t and Truss. What's your solution? Tax should have gone up in 2010 instead they introduced Austerity and shrunk the economy.

@leemccccccc999 Last time this country had rising wages and economic growth was under new Labour +25% to be exact and average of 2.5% to gdp per annum You poorer now than 14 years ago with a 10% drop in GDP per capita

@leemccccccc999 I remember the unemployment of the Thatcher era 2008 was chicken feed compared. Live in a northern ex blue wall seat which turned Lib-Dem this cycle and would never vote for the Cons after what Thatcher did.

Why is it horrible? Tories have been running up debt for 14 years. Rubber and road happened with Truss. If you just try cut tax you'll just have 5 more years of stagnation, the economy needs investment.
