@GolfingInParadise783 Incorrect? Our economy is failing due to the lack of inward investment in social and physical infrastructure. The net migration figures are a symptom not the cause. And Migration isn't a tap you can turn on and off it's taken the Tories 14 years to make it this bad in for example in the NHS that it is consuming plane loads of 3rd world workers. It takes 7 years to train a doctor 3 years for a Nurse so you could feasibly reduce this with varying policies within a decade the other option is to not provide healthcare

@GolfingInParadise783 We have lots of money it's how we choose to spend it or tax it. Of the 2.3 trillion of debt 1/3 is held by the BOE due to QE / QT. Also the Banks have on deposit with the BOE 480 billion. For whatever reason we have reduced the banking levy and paid out interest at the BOE rate. There are a number of articles on how this could be restructured in various financial publications including the FT. Thee are also a whole slew of deliberate tax loopholes and trickle down policies + last year we failed to collect 42 billion of tax owed to the exchequer. You can reduce migration at a stroke by reintroducing FOM the huge escalation from what was 200k is down to dependants because were shopping from 2,000 miles away not 20. To get it down further you need to increase productivity and wages. When we were in the EU we could always control migration we chose not to and it is something that will take a long time to turn around there is no quick fix.
