  2.  @steveb3060  You reduce energy prices by having a long term plan to switch to renewables. Given the Tories pulled funding from green projects over the years the cost of our electric has gone up to the highest in Europe. So why is renewable energy cheaper? because the energy input is Free and doesn't go up with inflation & doesn't have the same extraction processing and transport costs as Oil and Gas. Even the capital cost has come down + the efficiency has gone up.

We knew there would be a shortfall but it seems the Tories went scorched earth on the way out and it explains why we had a summer election Our finances have been in a mess for a while going back to Osborne and the damage Austerity did to the economy

  6.  @steveb3060  renewable infrastructure pays itself back in around year 10 of a 25 year life cycle even accounting for borrowing costs. If you take 2022 prices Mass storage at stratigic grid nodes would pay for itself in a year saving consumers 30 billion a year.
