The demand curve for electricity is called a duck curve the cost of UK energy is calculated on the cost of the most expensive unit at peak demand time. If you flatten and fatten the demand curve energy prices start to plummet you do this by replacing Gas Peak plant that runs for minutes a day with mass storage.
