@safc2951 It's a low wage economy it has all sorts of knock on affects. 40% of people are on in work benefits, it encouraged s the government to put public service jobs on the visa exception list. It's a drag on housing and not enough people are paying enough tax because they don't earn enough. We've gone from 40% going to university to 37%, the graduate jobs are not there either

Zero hour low pay and outsourcing is a huge factor in migration and recruitment from abroad to fill low paid jobs. Also Contributes to councils spending 20 billion on housing support and 40% of benefit claimant being in work Labour are there to run a country not dole out taxpayer money to subsidise business as the Tories have for 14 years

one of the reasons the economy is in the toilet is the 14 years of Tories driving wages down at every opportunity, also zero low pay and outsourcing are big drives in net migration

A low wage economy which depends on zero hour and migration is anti business, it lets them paper over the cracks with cheap labour instead of investing to boost productivity

tax base under Blair was 33% same as Osborne didn't go up till Johnson took charge and we left the EU it's now 37% and according to economists were over 50 billion a year less tax than if we had stayed in the single market
