@NoNeed2No expert on economics are we? Migration was always going to explode if we removed FOM, shopping for labour in the 3rd world means lower salaries permenant instead of transitory workers and loads more dependants. Net migration isn't a tap you can turn on and off its caused by economic pull factors such as lack of investment in training your domestic workforce, wage suppression over 14 years in public services, lack of regulation on zero hour and outsourcing. Brex1t didn't address any of this hence the train wreck, you got what you voted for take some responsibility

@marumaru6084 Lack of investment and the relentless pursuit of a low wage economy over the last 14 years depressing wages in the public sector by as much as 30% in some cases then using that as an excuse to import cheap labour into it. If you want low migration you need to invest in the domestic population and it's infrastructure and regulate the Labour market. Key pull factors to migration are things like unregulated zero hour in the gig economy and unregulated outsourcing.

@paulchadwick9419 There economic policies are Libertarian (eg Truss), trickle down, NHS Privatisation, Fracking, abandonment of net zero

In Reeve we will have a Chancellor that has a proper economics degree from the LSE and has worked for the BOE, as well Torsten Bell a leading UK economist has been parachuted into a safe seat. What you will see is the end of trickle down which is blighting the UK economy
1
we tried Libertarian economics with Liz Truss it didn't go well quote Kwasi Kwarteng made the right decision in swiftly cutting taxes, Nigel Farage said, dealing a blow to global economic institutions which have warned against the economic policy.
1
for who? Reform are the 2nd most disliked party in the UK next to the Tories according to the in depth MRP polling
1
No one believes that they will put thresholds to 20k it would add 100+ billion to debt per year and NHS privatisation would increase everyone's bills including the Government
1
No there not it's sad old men over 50 who don't want to believe brex1t was a complete train wreck that's tripled migration
1
@NoNeed2No reform have an upper cealing of around 15%, there economic policies are Libertarian straight out of the Truss playbook, they don't have a clue on economics or the energy market or how public services work and support the capitalist ladder. Their leader is marmite in the extreme, and in polling they are 2nd only to the Tories in net unfavourable ratings, but hey dream on
1
@Archergoose tired of expert opinion again are we?
1
@CarlEveriss As we are? Starmer's Labour if elected will be the 1st centre left government we've had since Wilson in the 70's when we abandoned Keynesian economics for Thatcher's trickle down and the neoliberal consensus.

@StevenLong-sz4es Had enough of Reich wing cr*p

@marumaru6084 without a social collective we wouldn't have an army you have no idea what socialism is or how our economy works, the Tories are hard Right
