@pauldavies7251 this is the current system people voted for? I think far every council house sold the government should build a new one or the policy stopped but what has that got to do with someone upgrading under the current system? Nothing

@seamusoflatcap why? I'm for taxing the wealthy and wealth not work but I'm not going to go to the tax office and make a voulentary donation

@jamonit7169 I'm not a socialist I worked in IT as a technical analyst till I retired and have an economics degree. We run a mixed economy but the tax system is rigged against work for wealth. A tax break is just as much socialism as unemployment benifit. The sell off of services privatised the profits and the government picks up the losses when they fail. I have an opinion on how it should work but use the current system to minimise my tax exposure, during the last budget wrote several times to my mp about unfair tax breaks for the wealthy. Calling someone hypocritical for playing the system as is not what it should be makes no sense at least I'm trying to change the agenda as is she. Labour policy is likely to create the biggest expansion in social housing in decades.
