@royrj5517 Quote Voting intention by education Education likewise remains a key factor in voting intention, with people more likely to vote for Labour or a left wing party the higher a level of education they have.

@jandavies4400 voting by educational attainment isn't a statistical anomaly there is a huge gap which your straw clutching has no explanation for

@jandavies4400 data is just data, education and class have been used as analysis points for decades, this path started because it was intimated that Labour voters were thick. According to the data they are better educated under 50 and higher earners all the deep dive polls show roughly the same breakdown.

@jandavies4400 This is just total data if you look into the MRP polling on a seat by seat basis there are many individual stories. I live in an affluent blue wall seat which will go Lib-dem by a huge margin. The conservative brand is now completely toxic tarred with economic incompetence and it's shift to populism in chasing after reform voters.

@jandavies4400 Non of this is to say that these voting patterns are set in stone the current story is a big shift from the Cameron coalition.

@jandavies4400 The defining moment of this election cycle was the Truss fiscal event. All Sunak has managed to do since taking charge is dig the hole deeper

They've been lying about Labour for decades so what's new

@jmw-qt2ih Given the narrow demographic they appeal to the vote is very spread out
1
@jmw-qt2ih YouGov do in depth polling by age, gender and social grade and support peaked at 24% male 65+ There's support elsewhere but it's averaging 8% in under 50 and again there's a -4 point difference with women. This is a similar problem the Tories have and why there seat share could completely collapse. They don't have the male/female disparity and their support is slipping at around 35% in 65+ bracket
