@theoutlier9053 my Brother lives in Norway they are 5-6 years ahead of us in the Green transition 92% of there energy is from renewables he drives a diesel truck because it tows but all the petrol stations have fast charger infrastructure built in them Nobody is taking anything from anybody, the scare stories are BS, new car sales of petrol / diesel are declining along with falling battery prices EV'S like in Norway will be heavily urban / suburban. Norway also doesn't have gas thier houses are insulted to within in an inch of thier lives, there's no plans to ban wood burners and my brothers other heat source is electric

@theoutlier9053 1st up petrol and diesel aren't being banned just new car sales in 2030, it would then take around 15-20 years to cyccle round the system, well before that we'll have Autonomous driving. So as long as there are viable 2nd hand cars running on petrol they can be sold and driven.
