  3.  @silverfire01  Our energy crisis was self made. The Conservatives dismantled the renewable roadmap left by New Labour including stopping the insulation initiatives. Instead they focused on RWANDA, even as they left office the OnShore wind ban was still in place and nothing had been done to sort out planning for vital infrastructure. A plan to install Mass Storage near me had to be shelved after being in planning for 6 years then getting rejected as Not being vital. Plans to force landlords to have a bare minimum insulation standard on buildings of C+ was shelved. New home and extension insulation and heating standards are appalling. They also cancelled energy efficiency targets (insulation) and allowed INOS to close our just in case Gas storage facility. We only got 5% of our gas from Russian yet energy prices went through the roof. The government last year spent 72 billion on energy subsidies yet could have done something about this at the start of 2022 when the invasion took place.
