@BedboundME GBEnergy it will be the central theme of economic recovery which would over a decade or so produce 60/70% of UK energy. Reeve is a follower of Demand side Economics (investment in physical and social infrastructure) similar to what the Biden admin is doing but with more state control. Blaire was anti unwinding Thatcherism as in state control or additional spending the Tax code was made a lot more bottom up and minimum wage but we had fiasco's like Brown's PPP and using student loans to basically post forward into future accounting years debt a classic centerism solution. PPP should have just been public debt at that time we could have afforded it and student debt should be a graduate tax rather than the broken system we have now where its a tax buy another name and an inefficient one at that. I believe Starmer believes in the things he's pledged just not in the Left's cavalier way of implement them and as we've seen with the TRuss debacle the city won't give either party a blank cheque.

Blair was all for removing the whip from Corbyn who voted against his party over 400 times but was talked out of it by Alistair Campbell Starmer is hedging against a slim majority by not having people in the party who won't vote things through because they don't go far enough we have no time for Purity tests
