80% on benefit are working poor, the numbers of those not working at all are really small (50,000) we have a system where people on benefit are trapped on minimum wage unable to get out of the poverty trap. What is currently being done in your name is the spread of a low wage economy trapping people into economic slavery working but barely able to survive.

@maskedavenger2578 Benefits have been eroded over the last 40+ years there's nothing left to cut the numbers on them are 80% working poor with only 50,000 non working. The uplift won't even cost as much as the dropping of the 45% tax rate or the bankers tax break Rhishi gave away
