tax is going up whoever gets in Labour won't increase PAYE even on the 100k bracket because there th e spenders in the economy They will tax wealth created from wealth as assets move around the economy

@uniquevideosUk tax base has been constant at 33% for the last 2 decades Osborne just shifted it to the lower and middle class by upping VAT by 5% to 20% while starting the process of creating loads of trickle down tax breaks

anyone on PAYE Reason there the ones that spend money in the economy Tax will be levied on wealth created from wealth as in assets their sale and movement which is where 100% of the cov money trickled up to

PFI was dreamed up by John Major and was a Thatcher era legacy policy of outsourcing which was finally stopped in 2018 The spending cost is 200 billion I'm not defending it I thought it was a sh1t idea by both parties, Reeve won't revive it there committed to in-sourcing where possible and she is also stated a shake up on how assets are accounted for because the reason this looked attractive is it off books the debt.

@marumaru6084 I'm not blaming the Tories it was a Thatcher era legacy which Blair and Brown signed onto to get elected and should have been thrown in the bin. We saw a continuation of outsourcing with Cameron and the complete failure of probation service contracts. The most visible and spectacular show of its failure in G4S at the Olympics. and The most recent in 37 billion given out for test and trace. Both Starmer and Reeve are opposed to outsourcing and will in-source wherever possible and practical

They will remove multiple trickle down tax breaks for example in the 2023 budget millionaire pensioners were given 8 billion and a further +6 billion was given in fossil subsidies

There not going to put up tax on PAYE because that's the bit of the economy that spends money The more people spend the more tax the government collects in like a merry go round
