  4. Because Hinkley C is 12 years under construction is delayed for another 3 years and the electricity it generates will be 4 times the cost of renewables by the time its commissioned.

  5. Normal nuclear is 4 times more expensive than Renewables and micro reactors are still a pipe dream In the 10-15 years it would take to build and commission a nuclear plant its estimated battery prices will be 1/10th of current costs

I had a solar battery installation this year the capital payback is under 6 years when I sized this up 3 years ago it was 15 years Reasons its gone down Battery prices have halved since then & my provider offers a cheap overnight tariff which utilises always on wind generation. Just time shifting with the battery alone to etilise the cheap rate saves 40%

  7. The issue isn't with storage but the decision by Cameron to as he put it cut the green cr@p and enable the dash for gas. Having put all our eggs in 1 basket our government payed out 72 billion in energy subsidies in 2023 because of his decision
