  1.  @eyeIce  because thier tax policy, currently the working and middle class are footing the bill for everything while there are mass social programs for millionaires and billionaires. Socialism for the rich capitalism for the poor just look at Amazon and the oil gas and coal lobbies. Countries that have a more holistic approach have a higher average life expectancy and spend less of thier GDP on healthcare, moving even slightly to this type of model would save the US trillions. Plus a healthy workforce is a productive workforce, the blight of prescribed opioid pain killers is a lot down to lack of healthcare resource etc etc
