The water temperature in the gulf is currently 3 degrees above average for the time of year and a cumulative 1.6 degree rise averaged over time, the temperature increase will fuel these storms to unprecedented levels this year. Global warming is real and the counter programming by the oil, gas and coal lobbies needs calling out for what it is naked greed at the cost of people's livelihoods and the environment they depend on.
