Fastest recovering economy of the G20 US manufacturing up for the 18th month in a row Intel building facilities in Arizona, Tesla in Texas Ford in Kentucy Unemployment at near full

@Nigelforemporor Afganistans fate was sealed with the Trump withdrawal agreement, you have inflation because of worldwide price instability in oil and shipping, 90% of the covid hospitalizations are unvacinated 95% of the deaths are unvacinated Republicans are dying at the rate of 27 per 100k Democrats at 7.8 wonder what the difference is?

@Nigelforemporor I've tried posting links but it gets junked by YouTube My issue with Trump is he's crazy My son is autistic and I've done a shed load of reading on the topic Trump has ADHD dyslexia and stunted personality disorders, he has no sense of right or wrong if the executive had done its job you'd be looking at Mike Pence's second term (god help everyone) You've 2 choices take the inflation hit with full employment or suck it up with a recession and high interest rates It's good we talk I appreciate your discourse even if we don't agree give me a hard time if we bump into each other again

@kevr8482 your repeating the same crap the fossil industry has been pedalling for years Reminds you of the tabbaco industry!
2
@Rj7733 first off violent crime has been climbing because of the pandemic started rising before Jan 21 Second inflation you can either have employment numbers rising new businesses springing up and factories being built in the US or low inflation controlled by high interest rates given US labour is more expensive than that in the far east. What's really swung up costs is the huge increases in shipping costs it looks pretty permanent which should encourage US firms to source stuff more home. Everyone has been screaming about home grown industry now its starting to happen Everyone is screaming about the additional costs that would entail The US recorded its 18th month straight increase in manufacturing Climate change the US suffered multiple once in a lifetime / decade weather events late polar storm plus drought drastically affecting crop yields. The Colorado river is drying up at an alarming rate yet no one is addressing the issue seriously just booting the can down the road
2
@mhall801 the economy has recovered to just below pre pandemic levels way ahead of every G20 country Unemployment at near full The world has inflation not just the US Oil +25% cost of container shipping +330% or do you think somehow world commodity prices are controllable by 1 nation?

given the hand he's been dealt with he's done OK, the China stuff you people keep trotting out is pure fantasy. The US was the laughing stock of the world under Trump he got rolled over that many times you should nik name him barrel I'd stop whining about the border its the same old same old R in everything is great D in all of a sudden its hell on earth simple fact is nothing changes aside from not wasting billions on a stupid wall that Mexico never built

@kevr8482 Justify green energy? Its half the price per kilowatt hour of fossil and a third that of Nuclear the reason there isn't more of it is Utility Monopolies and the Grid is FKD so you can't move it around. Justify EV's? Their running costs are a fraction of an ICE car and costs have come down comparable to Gas cars and they will get considerably cheaper in 22/3 as economies of scale ramp up. Being a bit of a stats person 90% of ICU beds with covid are the unvaxed and 95% of the deaths, if your a die hard Republican your 3 times more likely to die from covid (27 per 100k as opposed to 7.8 for heavily Dem counties) that doesn't even take account of the fact that blue states got hit hard before there was a vaccine. Oil - Nothing Trump did would have affected its price or production quantities it takes 4-10 years for government policy to wind its way through the system the decisions made during the Obama era would be responsible. Likewise any long term Oil policy decision done now won't affect production exploration or price for up to a decade. It takes on average of 7 years from exploration to a fully functioning and producing well.
1
@kevr8482 Trump rode the coat tails of Obama's economy for 2 years, I ain't blaming him for the economic fallout from the pandemic but you inherit a stable growing economy then blow your advantage on a tax cut for the rich, if he'd shored up what had been done to reduce the debt the country would have sailed through and he'd still be Pres instead of being considered as the worst POTUS ever.
1
@kevr8482 Venezuela is an Authoritarian dictatorships which has 1 party rule and rampant corruption at all levels the US would have descended into something similar if the Trump coup on Jan 6th had been successful. Take Texas for example by extreme gerrymandering your getting ultra right candidates who would otherwise be unelectable who then have to maintain an unrepresentative system or their out of power and subsequently more and more extreme right wing policies are enacted. In terms of crime wars etc your a victim of your information media silo who denigrate the opposition and sicphantically fawn over and praise their chosen one no matter how corrupt incompetent and stupid he is. Crime in the US has gone down slowly over the last couple of decades there is no correlation between Crime and R or D there is one between Crime and poverty, deprivation and slum housing.
1
@kevr8482 just to point out that the origins of the anti-vax movement was bolstered by the medical freedom movement an organisation sponsored and set up by the Koch brothers why to stop Obama care because Taxes the greedy fks don't care if people live or die along as they make an extra dollar
1
@kevr8482 I'm 65 2 people I new died in the 1st wave since then no one I know has died the vaccine has stopped breakthrough cases becoming fatal or them needing hospital treatment 90 % of the covid icu occupancy is the unvacinated statistics don't lie
1
@kevr8482 it's gotten to the stage where the disparity in death rates between R and D will affect elections if you combine that with the fact that older you are and the more comorbities you have plus the closeness of multiple congressional seats the Dems may win the midterms just on Republican stupidity alone. Just a thought
1
@kevr8482 96% of democrats are vaccinated 52% of Republicans and 76% Independents 95% of the deaths from Covid are the Un-Vaxed The daily average deaths is 2000 if you extrapolate the figures the bulk of people now dying from Covid are Republican or Republican leaning its not inconceivable that the Republican party could loose well over half of a million voters over a year. Also the youth vote skews 20-80 to the Democrats As political strategies go its pretty dumb, there has always been public health mandates for all sorts of reasons. True oppression is what my Father went through during the war you don't know your born or how lucky you are
1
@grapentine739 how can you disude people who have the memory of a goldfish Trump gop stats + three million unemployed + 4 trillion debt + 40% trade deficit HOW FKIN BAD DOES IT HAVE TO BE The guy did what he does with his business spends unsecured money the fkin tax cut screwed everyone
1
@CharlieBrown723 only if you believe the stick the GOP sell
1
@timothypopik2288 Tesla have built a new factory in Texas and Arizona the Calafornia plant has expanded, Intel are building a chip factory in Arizona GM and Ford are building plant in the US. The wall is a complete waste of money the smugglers climb over it cut through it and dig under it, its badly made and sections have collapsed already due to gulf storms. The US has an aging population, the Democrats proposed expanding the workforce by enabling more women to work the Republicans and pressure groups have said no The only way of killing inflation completely is with tax hikes and higher interest rates, you go back to the Regan big tax cut to see what happened but that is politically impossible with Senate deadlock and you'd kill job onshoring dead with unemployment rising if you really hiked interest rates, also if you put in cuts you'd end up with stagflation. You don't want supply side economics the Democrats don't either its just big business trying to ram it through and keep the status quo a wall street analyst was on salivating over gridlock
1
@timothypopik2288 Tesla is expanding in Calafornia even as its hq moves to Texas By the way did you know Tesla is banned from selling cars in Texas the state has a law stating you have to sell through dealerships, Texas also bans municipal broadband partnerships. So much for free enterprise usual Republican shills bought and paid for by big business fk the little guy

@Mister8224 ? not according to the economic figures also he's promoting the switch to EV which will help decouple the US economy from the world oil commodity market with infrastructure investment. The economy is at a stage that it can reduce oil dependency in the next couple of years, the likes of Amazon are moving to electric final mile delivery vans as is UPS It wouldn't take much of a consumption drop to make the US an oil exporter again at a convenient time when Europe doesn't want to buy from Russia
1
@Mister8224 the US under Biden has the strongest economic recovery in the G7
1
The US is top of the G7 in economic recovery from 2019 to present so what the fk are you smokin
1
@ForeverFebruary27 most people just don't understand economics or how bad it could have been with a Republican in charge In terms of economic indicators the US was the fastest recovering economy of the G20 and sits just below pre pandemic levels, US manufacturing has grown for the 18th month straight. Intel, Tesla, Ford plus many others are building new manufacturing facilities in the US employment is near full. The President can't control oil prices +25% shipping container costs +330% Polar weather event + droughts affecting US crop yields (climate change)
1
Another record weather event in a year of record weather events and yet your not championing climate change action? By the way Kentucky is getting a new EV manufacturing plant as the car industry transitions bringing in thousands of jobs and there's only 1 party championing a transition away from fossil! Weather you like Democrats or not turn over the R card and your consigned to an uncertain future bound to ever increasing oil price instability and a party whose answer to everything is tax cuts for the rich and deregulation in an ever increasing environment of climate instability.
