I heard an interesting podcast the other day which explained that the right and the left approach the debated in the same emotional way, the left believes its not emotional but based on fact as does the right. The problem is right wing media which has spent decades feeding a false reality in forever pushing the shock boundaries or whitewash what it's side does you can't really communicate with someone who doesn't have a shared reality your not debate about their interpretation of fact because they are arguing on the back of a lie. You can't even get them to agree that there that the capitol riot wasn't left wing provocateurs despite the hundreds of arrests and the association of the Oathkeeprs with Stone.
