@johnregan2443 the budget was fairly meh, the economy has been flatlining since we left the single market Tories tried 2 million visas that barely staunchly the bleeding, then they decided to appoint Truss who really did crash it

@stevefoster5789 waspi was a Con job I lost a years pension Our economy is down the toilet, its been in recession since leaving the single market, trade down by 7% by volume, largest drop on record, last parliment saw the biggest drop in living standards on record and migration quadrupled. I think labour are a bunch of soggy centrist but th3re still 100 times better than the Tories

@darrinhawkins8087 first off the BOE Forecast the slowdown as well as the rise in inflation in February 2024 all the figures are calculated on a rolling average Jan 2024 - Dec 2024 second the reason they can claim we grew wasn't down to the economy actually growing in real terms it shrank and we all got poorer. What there crowing about is handing out 2 million VISA's, so what your seeing is the working population grow by around 5% but the amount that extra workforce created in GDP grow by 0.1%

@ Yea they are we've started moving away from fossil there's no VAT on batteries as part of a solar install (saves you thousands and the grid) They've deported 15,000 illegals already. Etc

@ftumschk There public monopolies only a complete m0ron would sell them off in the 1st place It's like selling a house you own then leasing it back with guaranteed rent increases then going down the bookies and blowing it all

It will take a decade to repair the damage the Tories have done to the economy and that is just to recover it to where it was in 2010

@stevefoster5789 It's not other people's money the Government create it in the 1st place through the BOE. Without taxation to pay for services you'd have a tiny % with all the money and everyone else would be in economic slavery

Err they think they can tax and spend their way to prosperity? Has he never read the works of John Maynard Keynes or how his theories put into practice lifted the US out of the Great Depression and how it rebuilt our Economy post war?
