The owner of the car lot asked him to help. The firearm was not illegal.

@milomilo55 I have to agree with much of what you say. His actions in going alone (apparently) to put out the dumpster fire which led to him being pursued were foolish in the extreme. There's no doubt in my mind that the second two shootings were justified in terms of self-defence. It really was him or them, I think. Question marks still hang over the initial shooting though. The story we have so far is that shots were fired in the air and that an object was thrown at the kid. A bottle in a plastic bag by some accounts. I guess it will all depend on whether or not the court will view his situation as life-threatening enough to justify his fatal use of the weapon We will just have to wait and see.

@rizeagle33 The case has not yet come to court, much less a guilty verdict. So no crime as yet. Wisconsin gun laws are confusing and contradictory. One says that it is illegal to carry a long gun if you're under 18, but another says it's under 16 if certain conditions are met. And another one seems to imply that if you have a pistol licence you can carry a long gun at 16. Compared to the murder charges all this seems pretty small beer though, doncha think?

@vwilliams8275 I don't know his political leanings. He lived a twenty minute drive away and came in every day to work as a pool attendant. Many of the rioters came from far, far away, via Portland in most cases. By road and by plane. This can clearly be seen from the addresses of those so far arrested.

Depends whether you're protecting property or trying to destroy it.

Are you suggesting that the violence is caused by any other faction than BLM and Antifa? The trouble with your analogy is that now the situations are being filmed from all angles, and people can see exactly what is going on. In this instance a citizens' militia was protecting a property against rioters. Some of those rioters pursued Kyle after he put out a fire they had started., placing him in fear of his life after shots were fired and objects thrown at him. All on footage all over the Internet. Kyle worked in Kinosha and the gun was already in the state, by the way. Your Joseph Goebbels act isn't very convincing I must say Needs more work.

@pazyryk9 As wordy as this is, it contains much I agree with. My position is that BLM and Antifa are essentially Marxist (even though many of their supporters don't realise it!) They are following a standard playbook in inciting rebellion amongst a a perceived underclass, and gaining support for this among the "student" class. This is exactly what Lenin and Trotsky did in Russia in 1917 and Mao and Pol Pot did later on. The essential difference now is that the underclass is not the "proletariat" because the proletariat aren't having any. Black people have been whipped into a frenzy to take on that role. The revolutionaries are well trained. The perfectly decent black people and students get excited and are turned into a howling mob. BLM agitators and Antifa black bloc herd them along while setting fires, smashing windows etc etc. The more excitable of the innocents join in. So too do criminals who are just there for the looting. The objective is the destabilisation of society and its replacement by a system of soviets, such as those tried out at Portland etc. Kyle Rittenhauser is a victim of this. He is a foolish and headstrong child who has responded to the evil he sees engulfing his world and, armed with a weapon which in other countries' would earn you a life sentence for owning, he has taken two lives. I think he has a good case for self-defence, although it will be touch and go. Scared kid. Bullying thug chucking stuff. Possible shots fired nearby. The people he shot were baddies and he was a goodie at the end of the day. It could have gone very badly for him if he hadn't been armed. And I really don't think he fired out of hatred or devilment. It was from fear.

@stephaniehenry5617 He worked there. It's only a 20 minute drive from his home.

@joyceallen8029 The people he killed weren't exactly upstanding citizens though, were they? One had a conviction for sexual abuse against a child and the other several convictions for beating up women. It is not too long a stretch to imagine they were in Kinosha to riot for kicks, is it?

Iain Bell Brainwashed fool. (This could go on all day)

@richardeisenhower7381 It's so hard to say. isn't it? Soldiers in wars have often been 16. There is no doubt that Kyle got himself into a situation which a more mature person may have avoided. Having said that, if he hadn't been armed he may well have been killed or seriously injured.
1
@digbycrankshaft7572 So rioters are allowed to destroy property while everyone just stands by and watches. Is that what you're saying?
1
@richardeisenhower7381 So rioters are allowed to burn and destroy and yes MURDER while we stand by and do nothing. Is that what you're saying? What about the 30+ dead in Portland?
1
He won't need to. He'll be found not guilty on grounds of self-defence.
1
He didn't. The gun belonged to a friend who lives in Kenosha, Kyle works there.
1
@walkejb He didn't cross a state line with it. It was already in Wisconsin. The only question hangs on right to carry at age 17. The law is rather vague in Wisconsin but it seems likely that he was acting legally.
1
@walkejb The deaths are the result of riots. No riots: no deaths.
1
@walkejb No riots: no vigilantes. No of course I wasn't but there is plenty of video evidence chronicling his behaviour. He may have acted foolishly and ended up in a dangerous situation which he felt he had to shoot his way out of. Only a court will decide if he acted legally. I think he did, but it remains to be seen.

The gun was already in the state. Kyle worked in Kinosha and the owner of the car lot asked for help protecting it.
1
@julianmarsh1378 Those are the facts, you stupid child. The protesters are being used by Marxist revolutionaries s as a cover for riots, Rittenhauser is a stupid child too - but his cause, the protection of property and civil order, is the right one.

Kyle worked in Kinosha. The gun was there. The owner of the car lot asked for help protecting his property from BLM rioters.

Who'd want to be?
1
The rioters were Democrats - many of them from out of town.
